Janhabi's

Founder

Janhabi is a renowned Odissi dancer known across the country for her graceful and captivating dance. She is a recipient of the prestigious “Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar”, an empanelled artiste of Indian Council for Cultural Relations and Spicmacay and a recognized artiste of Doorshan Kendra.

She is also known for making beautiful flower rangolis and has also done an exhibition of the same. Led by her creative streak, Janhabi is a designer by choice.

Story

“Crafts are the most humble products that we live with and find all around ourselves yet we don’t recognise it sometimes”, says Janhabi. It feels like it was destined to be. Though Janhabi always was an ardent fan of Odishan weaves and remained close to the traditions and art of Odisha through her art-form Odissi, she had never planned anything of this sort. It was when the nation went for a lockdown due to the covid-19 pandemic (in 2020), Janhabi’s creativity opened doors for her. From starting from the very scratch by experimenting with fabric leftovers to making her own brand as a designer, Janhabi and Janhabi’s Craftogram have come a long way.

Janhabi’s Craftogram is a brand-cum-design house that brings to you humble yet elegant designs using our very own Sambalpuri fabric that binds together tradition and contemporaneity and are created with much attention to details. The sambalpuri patchwork is a unique idea curated by Janhabi and that is what makes the products of Janhabi’s Craftogram one of a kind. Janhabi’s Craftogram pays gratitude to the innumerous souls who have kept the craft alive, aspires to keep up the indomitable spirit of artistry alive and takes inspiration from the craft traditions of Odisha.
